The Writers’ Mill is a professional refuge for writers of all sorts—novelists, journalists, poets, freelancers, screenwriters, academics, and researchers.  It’s a place to escape the isolation of a writer’s life but still get work done.

The Writers’ Mill consists of four workrooms, accommodating about 20 people.  We also have a kitchenette, lounge, and wi-fi.  Members receive 24-hour access.

In addition to offering a place to write, the Writers’ Mill provides a coworking community to people accustomed to solitary toil.  The Mill was founded by a group of writers and freelancers who were sick of working alone—and who were embarrassed that the arrival of the mail had become the high point of their work days.  So the Mill gives us a place to socialize as well as work; we plan to have public readings and other community-building events.
